Epson Robots Invests in Blank Beauty for Automated Retail Experiences
Epson Robots has made a strategic investment in Blank Beauty, a Knoxville-based tech platform, to bring automation and retailtainment to the consumer space. Announced in a press release, this collaboration aims to integrate Epson's advanced robotics with Blank Beauty's on-demand manufacturing platform, enabling the production of personalized consumer goods.
The partnership has resulted in the development of an innovative in-store kiosk capable of manufacturing and dispensing custom-color nail polishes. Utilizing Epson's T3 All-in-One SCARA Robot, the kiosk offers a seamless production experience, from color selection to mixing and dispensing, within minutes. This live process not only delivers personalized products but also serves as a retailtainment centerpiece, enhancing consumer engagement.
Beyond in-store experiences, the collaboration extends to e-commerce, where Epson-powered equipment automates the process from color formulation to shipment of online orders. Looking ahead, Epson and Blank Beauty plan to expand their offerings to include other customizable cosmetics, leveraging Epson's Color Control Technology to deliver precise personalization across various industries.
