EmbodyMe is expanding its DigiSelf AI avatar platform globally, with online and offline options for live conversations and video creation.

Tokyo based EmbodyMe is expanding its DigiSelf AI avatar platform globally, the company said in a press release. In EmbodyMe's benchmark, DigiSelf began speaking incoming audio after a median of 0.33 seconds through its online service, compared with 0.62 seconds for the next fastest platform tested.

Users can create an avatar from one photo and 10 to 30 seconds of recorded speech, or from a video lasting 30 seconds to two minutes. DigiSelf can reproduce facial expressions, mouth movements, voice and speaking style for scripted videos or live conversations in multiple languages.

Businesses can access DigiSelf through an online API or a local SDK that runs without sending user data to the cloud. EmbodyMe recorded a response time of 0.005 seconds for incoming audio with the local SDK. Paid plans start at $29 per month, API streaming starts at $0.10 per minute and offline SDK licenses start at $9,900.

The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
