Ellucian Names Daniel Greenstein as Chief of Industry Transformation
Ellucian has appointed Daniel Greenstein as Chief of Industry Transformation, effective December 1, announced in a press release. Greenstein will report directly to President and CEO Laura Ipsen and will lead the company’s higher education system strategy, focusing on collaboration with state systems, policymakers, and institutional networks.
Greenstein previously served as Chancellor of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education, where he oversaw a system redesign across 10 universities. He also held leadership roles at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the University of California Office of the President, where he advanced initiatives in research, online learning, and data analytics.
At Ellucian, Greenstein will work with the product, strategy, and go-to-market teams to guide modernization efforts and ensure technology supports institutional sustainability and student success. The company said his appointment strengthens its focus on accelerating transformation across the global higher education landscape.
