ECSite has integrated its automation platform with VIAVI Solutions' SmartClass Fiber MPOLx test sets to streamline fiber testing in hyperscale data centers, reducing errors and improving efficiency.

ECSite has integrated its automation platform with VIAVI Solutions' SmartClass Fiber MPOLx optical loss test sets to automate fiber testing in hyperscale data centers, announced in a press release. The collaboration aims to accelerate large scale multifiber certification and minimize manual errors during deployment.

The integrated workflow connects VIAVI's MPOLx instruments directly to ECSite's digital platform. Test results are validated automatically and uploaded to a cloud repository, enabling real time quality checks and automated documentation. ECSite reports that this system reduces error rates by a factor of ten, lowers testing and rework costs by 43 percent, and recovers over 1,300 labor hours.

ECSite plans to extend the integration to VIAVI's new Data Center Expert 700 series, which supports 12, 16, and 24 fiber configurations. The company said the addition will maintain compatibility with future high density AI data centers and continue to provide instrument flexibility within its automation ecosystem.
