Dreame Nebula NEXT Auto Expands University Collaboration with UC Berkeley
Dreame Nebula NEXT Auto announced in a press release an expanded collaboration with the University of California, Berkeley to advance research in AI-based vehicle systems and autonomous driving technologies. The partnership focuses on integrating artificial intelligence into core automotive engineering processes, from perception and decision making to chassis and powertrain control.
The collaboration brings together Nebula NEXT engineers and Berkeley researchers specializing in autonomous control systems, artificial intelligence, and intelligent transportation. Their joint work seeks to translate academic research into practical automotive systems, emphasizing safety, control, and full AI integration.
Nebula NEXT builds on Dreame Technology’s engineering background to transition from software-defined vehicles to vehicles defined by AI. The company’s approach includes continuous learning systems, multi-agent architectures, and high-performance computing platforms designed for decision making in complex driving environments.
The company first gained attention at CES 2026 with its Nebula NEXT 01 concept, an electric hyper-sedan capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds. Dreame Nebula NEXT plans to unveil new technologies and products at an event in Silicon Valley on April 27, 2026, as it moves toward scalable AI-based vehicle systems.
