Dr Suborno Bose Named AI Policy Leader of the Year 2025
Dr Suborno Bose has been recognized as the AI Policy Leader of the Year 2025 by The Economic Times Making AI Work Awards, announced in a press release. The award highlights his contribution to developing human-centered AI integration within hospitality and higher education through his work as Chairman of the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) and the Indismart Group.
Under his leadership, IIHM has implemented AI-driven hospitality simulations, sustainability labs, and tools such as the GreenRoute Sustainable Travel GPT and SDG GPT Builder. These initiatives aim to equip students with practical experience in responsible and sustainable AI applications.
Dr Bose also led a collaboration with the Government of West Bengal to introduce AI Essentials and Soft Skills training across 50 schools under the Paschim Banga Samagra Shiksha Mission. This program brings AI literacy to students with limited exposure to emerging technologies.
Beyond institutional programs, his Indismart Digital initiatives, such as AI for Schools and AI for All – AI by India, focus on building nationwide AI literacy. Bose’s approach positions education as a core driver of policy, promoting responsible AI use through teaching and community engagement.
