DentScribe Receives USPTO Notice of Allowance for AI Dentistry Patent
DentScribe has received a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its first U.S. patent application, announced in a press release. The application, filed on March 2, 2024, is titled "System, Method, and Apparatus for Automating Creation of Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) Reports."
The allowed claims cover a system that automates dental clinical documentation from start to finish. It includes real-time operatory speech capture and transcription tuned for dentistry, structured clinical data extraction through multiple prompt modules, and automated generation of treatment plans.
The platform also supports publishing to practice management systems, automated chart reviews, and identifying potential treatment opportunities, forming the basis of DentScribe’s agentic AI engine for dentistry.
