DeepL has announced the appointment of Gonçalo Gaiolas as its new Chief Product Officer, according to a press release. Gaiolas, who has a strong background in product development and innovation, will focus on advancing DeepL's Language AI solutions, which are already utilized by over 200,000 businesses worldwide. Additionally, he will guide the company's expansion into the agentic AI market.

Gaiolas previously served as Chief Product and Technology Officer at SoSafe, a B2B cybersecurity company, where he played a key role in doubling the company's revenue and expanding its global presence. His appointment comes as DeepL launches its latest product, the DeepL Agent, an autonomous AI designed to handle repetitive tasks, marking the company's first step beyond language solutions into the broader AI market.
