Cyient to Acquire TAO Digital Solutions to Expand AI and Data Engineering Capabilities

Cyient Limited has entered into an agreement to acquire TAO Digital Solutions Inc., an AI and data engineering company based in Santa Clara, California. The deal is expected to close by the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, pending regulatory approvals.

Cyient has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire TAO Digital Solutions, an AI and data engineering company based in Santa Clara, California, announced in a press release. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the second quarter of fiscal year 2027.

Founded in 2022, TAO Digital provides data and product engineering services across sectors including automotive, high technology, and healthcare. The company operates in the United States, Canada, India, Taiwan, and Europe. Its expertise includes data engineering, AI platform solutions, digitization, and cloud services.

The acquisition will add AI and data engineering capabilities to Cyient's portfolio, supporting enterprise AI adoption through data and platform modernization and AI lifecycle operations. It will also expand Cyient's digital and product engineering offerings across cloud platforms, application modernization, and quality engineering.

Cyient CEO Sukamal Banerjee described the move as a major step in strengthening the company’s ability to deliver AI based engineering solutions globally. TAO Digital CEO Rajkumar Velagapudi said the partnership would enhance value for customers through combined expertise in data and digital transformation.
