Corning Launches GlassWorks AI Solutions for Data Centers
Corning has introduced its GlassWorks AI solutions, a comprehensive suite of products and services aimed at enhancing AI data center infrastructure, announced in a press release. This new offering is designed to help operators build the dense fiber infrastructure necessary for generative AI.
The GlassWorks AI portfolio includes Corning's new Contour Flow Cable, which is engineered to accelerate the deployment of high-density data center interconnect networks. This cable allows for double the fiber capacity within existing cable diameters, addressing the challenges of scale and density in AI infrastructure.
Inside AI data centers, the need for dense optical infrastructure is met with high-density cables, shuffle solutions, and optical hardware. Corning's MMC-based connector assemblies can accommodate significantly more fiber connections than traditional connectors, enhancing the efficiency of data center operations.
Corning Incorporated continues to leverage its expertise in materials science to develop innovative solutions that meet the evolving demands of AI technologies, both within data centers and in long-haul networks connecting them.
