CoolIT Systems Demonstrates 15kW Coldplate for AI Cooling

June 02, 2026
CoolIT Systems has developed a 15kW coldplate design for single phase direct liquid cooling, delivering nearly four times the performance of its earlier 4kW model and extending the scalability of liquid cooling for future AI and GPU systems.

CoolIT Systems Inc announced in a press release that it has developed a 15kW coldplate for single phase direct liquid cooling. The design delivers about four times the performance of its earlier 4kW model introduced in March 2025, showing that single phase liquid cooling can meet the thermal demands of future high density GPUs and AI accelerators.

The 15kW coldplate features CoolIT's Split Flow microchannel architecture and was validated using a standard water glycol coolant at 1.2 liters per minute per kilowatt. It is capable of operating in 45°C warm water environments, with system level thermal performance suited for large scale AI infrastructure.

CoolIT stated that its single phase liquid cooling technology already supports millions of AI accelerators in operation. The company is now expanding its work to include component level coldplates and server designs that can capture more heat and target high intensity hot spots within advanced AI chips.

The company noted that its technology is used in seven of the top ten supercomputers and in many hyperscale data center sites worldwide.
