CodeRabbit Secures $60 Million to Enhance AI Code Review Platform
CodeRabbit has raised $60 million in a Series B funding round, valuing the AI code review startup at $550 million. The funding, led by Scale Venture Partners with participation from NVentures and existing investors, was announced in a press release. This brings CodeRabbit's total funding to $88 million.
The investment will be used to accelerate global hiring, product development, and platform expansion. CodeRabbit's platform, which provides context-aware AI code reviews, has seen significant growth, with over 8,000 paying customers including companies like Chegg and Groupon. The startup's recent enhancements include AI reviews across command line interfaces, integrated development environments, and Git platforms, aiming to streamline the code review process.
CodeRabbit's CEO, Harjot Gill, emphasized the importance of their platform as a governance layer in AI development, helping teams to review and ship code faster without sacrificing quality. The company plans to continue expanding its features to further support developers in managing AI-generated code efficiently.
