CGI Launches Sovereign AI Platform in Finland
CGI has launched a high security sovereign AI and data services platform in Finland, announced in a press release. The service offers a KATAKRI-compliant environment that allows organizations to develop and operate AI applications securely and in line with Finland’s national security auditing criteria.
The platform is hosted from CGI’s data center in Finland, one of the few certified against KATAKRI standards. It is designed for enterprise and public sector clients that require strict data protection, sovereignty, and compliance controls. The deployment model supports multiple large language models and connects with existing systems through an OpenAI-compatible API.
According to CGI, the sovereign AI platform enables clients to manage data and AI workloads under their governance within a certified environment. It provides a standardized delivery model aimed at cost efficiency and scalability for enterprise use, offering an alternative to public cloud and hybrid solutions for organizations prioritizing data control and security.
