Cato Networks Enhances CASB with AI Security Controls

Cato Networks has introduced generative AI security controls for its Cato CASB, featuring a shadow AI dashboard and policy engine to manage GenAI application risks.

Cato Networks has introduced generative AI security controls for its Cato CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker), announced in a press release. The enhancements include a shadow AI dashboard and a policy engine designed to provide comprehensive visibility and governance over generative AI (GenAI) applications.

The shadow AI dashboard allows enterprises to detect and analyze the use of GenAI applications, while the policy engine enables the enforcement of access policies to control user activities within these applications. This development aims to address the growing issue of shadow AI, where employees use GenAI tools without IT oversight, potentially leading to security and compliance risks.

Cato Networks' new GenAI security controls are now available globally, offering security and IT teams the tools to manage GenAI application risks effectively while maintaining innovation. These controls were unveiled during SASEfy 2025, Cato's global virtual event focused on SASE and AI.
