Cathay Innovation has appointed Rose Yuan and James Colgan to its San Francisco team, enhancing its focus on AI investments.

Cathay Innovation has announced the addition of Rose Yuan and James Colgan to its San Francisco team, announced in a press release. This move follows the recent close of its $1 billion Fund III, which is dedicated to supporting transformative AI companies across various sectors.

Rose Yuan joins as a director on the investment team, where she will lead investments in both horizontal and vertical enterprise AI applications. Her background includes roles at Generation Investment Management and CapitalG, where she focused on high-growth B2B software startups.

James Colgan has been appointed as an operating partner, supporting both the investment and ecosystem functions. He brings experience from leading product roles at Microsoft, Slack, Spendesk, and Envoy, where he focused on growth through AI capabilities and modern product strategies.
