Cassava Technologies to Launch AI Factory with Nvidia Supercomputers
Cassava Technologies has announced plans to establish 'Africa's first AI Factory' by upgrading its data centers with Nvidia supercomputers. The initiative will begin with the deployment of Nvidia accelerated computing and AI software in South Africa by June 2025, with further expansions planned for Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, and Nigeria.
The upgraded data centers will provide African businesses, governments, and researchers with access to advanced AI computing capabilities. This will enable the development of smarter AI products and streamline operations while keeping data within Africa's borders. The AI Factory will leverage Cassava's pan-African fiber-optic network and sustainable data centers to offer AI-as-a-service (AIaaS).
Cassava aims to be the first to introduce these accelerated computing platforms to Africa as an Nvidia Cloud Partner. The company believes that this collaboration with Nvidia will enhance Africa's AI innovation and strengthen the continent's digital independence.
