Carrum Health Names New Tech Leaders to Expand AI and Data Capabilities
Carrum Health has appointed Kulesh Shanmugasundaram as Chief Product and Technology Officer and Ravi Garimella as Senior Vice President of Data and AI, announced in a press release. The company said the new leadership will focus on expanding its AI and data infrastructure to support the growth of its specialty care platform.
Carrum doubled its covered lives in 2025 and aims to enhance its AI systems that identify patients likely to require high-cost care and evaluate provider quality across large data sets. The new appointments come as Carrum works to improve provider evaluation, streamline patient navigation, and scale care operations for its network of nearly seven million members.
Shanmugasundaram previously served as Chief Technology Officer at Angi and Handy HQ, where he led the design of platforms connecting consumers with service providers. Garimella most recently worked at Blink Health, building data platforms that improved prescription pricing transparency, and previously spent over six years at Groupon developing large-scale recommendation systems.
The company said both leaders will focus on strengthening AI and data capabilities to improve speed, precision, and member experience across its value-based care model.
