Booking Holdings Launches Vayo AI Travel Agent With Planned $100 Million Investment
Booking Holdings launches Vayo, an AI travel agent for organizing and managing trips, and plans to invest $100 million in the new company, the company said in a press release. Vayo is entering a private beta, with its waitlist now open.
Vayo collects travel reservations from a user's inbox, identifies missing arrangements and monitors prices. It can also connect changes across a trip, such as flagging a late hotel check in and a dinner reservation put at risk when a flight changes. The service works with bookings from Booking Holdings brands and other travel providers.
The private beta initially offers free, invite only access for frequent travelers. Vayo plans to add direct booking, a native app, shared trip planning and more support during trips. The planned investment remains subject to continued product progress and market conditions.
