BigID Unveils Shadow AI Discovery for Enhanced AI Security
BigID has launched Shadow AI Discovery, a new feature designed to help organizations identify unauthorized AI models and risky data usage, announced in a press release. This capability aims to provide security teams with the tools needed to uncover unmanaged AI models, flag sensitive datasets, and enforce policies to mitigate AI-related risks.
Shadow AI Discovery offers automatic detection of rogue AI models and maps out their usage across various platforms, including cloud and collaboration tools. It enables security and governance teams to take direct action by triggering enforcement policies and launching remediation workflows, thereby reducing the risk of data leakage and regulatory violations.
This new feature integrates with existing model repositories and developer tools, providing a comprehensive view of an organization's AI footprint. By offering actionable intelligence, Shadow AI Discovery enhances the security posture of enterprises dealing with shadow AI risks.
