Benchling Partners with Anthropic to Bring Claude AI to Life Sciences
Benchling has partnered with Anthropic to integrate Claude AI into its life sciences platform, announced in a press release. The collaboration introduces the Claude for Life Sciences Ecosystem, combining Benchling’s data management tools and AI agents with Claude’s reasoning capabilities.
The integration allows scientists to ask Claude questions about their experimental data stored in Benchling and receive source-linked answers, concise summaries, and decision-ready reports. Benchling’s AI agents assist by retrieving structured data such as assay results and molecules, as well as unstructured information from lab notebooks.
According to Benchling, this partnership aims to make AI-driven research more accessible and operational by pairing Anthropic’s models with trusted scientific data and workflows. The companies describe the effort as a step toward accelerating research and development in biotech through practical, data-grounded AI tools.
