Bain & Company and IBM Partner on Post-Quantum Cryptography Assessments
Bain & Company announced a collaboration with IBM to provide private equity and corporate clients with assessments of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) risks and mitigation strategies, announced in a press release.
The partnership combines IBM Consulting’s quantum-safe transformation services with Bain’s expertise in due diligence to evaluate clients’ resilience in the emerging post-quantum environment. The service will help organizations identify vulnerable assets, prioritize remediation, and integrate PQC into their operational and strategic plans.
Bain said the collaboration aims to address the growing threat quantum computing poses to current encryption standards protecting sensitive corporate data. The companies also plan to explore additional use cases for quantum technologies in sectors such as metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, and materials science.
