Axtria Launches LUCCID for Clinical Data Management
Axtria has introduced LUCCID, a GenAI-powered solution designed to automate the extraction of unstructured clinical data from electronic health record (EHR) systems, announced in a press release. LUCCID, which stands for LLM-based Unstructured Clinical Concept Identification, aims to transform clinical data management by converting unstructured data into structured formats for downstream trial systems.
The solution addresses a significant challenge in clinical trials, where 80% of data originates from unstructured sources. By leveraging clinically trained large language models, LUCCID enhances the speed and accuracy of data abstraction, reducing the time and cost associated with manual data processing. This innovation is expected to significantly impact clinical trial budgets, which often allocate a substantial portion to data abstraction and validation.
Axtria plans to present its research and findings on LUCCID at upcoming ISPOR and SCDM conferences, highlighting the solution's potential to streamline clinical data management processes.
