Axon to Acquire AI-Powered 911 Platform Prepared

Axon has announced its intent to acquire Prepared, an AI-driven emergency communications platform, to enhance public safety response capabilities.

Axon has announced it will acquire Prepared, an AI-powered emergency communications platform, announced in a press release. Prepared's technology integrates call audio, text, video, GPS, and real-time translation into a single view, aiding over 1,000 agencies across 49 states.

The acquisition aims to enhance Axon's public safety ecosystem by providing faster and more informed responses to 911 calls. Rick Smith, Axon's CEO, emphasized the role of AI in eliminating blind spots during emergencies, while Prepared's CEO, Michael Chime, highlighted the potential to expand their platform's reach and capabilities.

The transaction is expected to close in early Q4, subject to customary closing conditions.
