Axio BioPharma and Likarda Partner to Enhance Biologic Drug Development
Axio BioPharma and Likarda have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate biologic drug development by combining AI-powered protein manufacturing with advanced drug delivery technologies. Announced in a press release, this collaboration aims to create a more efficient and scalable path to clinical manufacturing for clients in the biopharmaceutical sector.
The partnership will see Axio BioPharma incorporating Likarda's proprietary delivery platforms, including its Core-Shell Spherification® hydrogel technology, into its service offerings. This integration is expected to enhance workflows for monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics, and Fc-fusions. In return, Likarda will offer Axio's discovery-to-GMP manufacturing capabilities to its clients, supporting programs in need of high-quality protein production and scalable manufacturing solutions.
The collaboration is designed to bring delivery innovation directly into the development process, reducing friction and shortening timelines for clients. By aligning on both delivery and manufacturing earlier in the process, the partnership aims to provide integrated solutions that support clients' goals more effectively.
