Augment Code Introduces Agent Turn Summary for Efficient Debugging
Augment Code has introduced a new feature called Agent Turn Summary, designed to streamline the debugging process for developers. Announced on their website, this feature provides a concise summary of tool calls and changes made during an agent's operation, allowing developers to quickly review complex API issues without sifting through extensive logs.
The Agent Turn Summary offers a snapshot of the number of tool calls and modifications made, which appears alongside the feedback footer. This enables users to assess the scope of an agent's actions at a glance, with the option to expand for more detailed information if needed. The feature is particularly useful for reviewing long-running GPT-5 loops and identifying unexpected agent activity.
Currently available in prerelease for VS Code and JetBrains, the Agent Turn Summary aims to enhance productivity by reducing the time spent on debugging and allowing developers to focus on more critical tasks.
