Arelion Expands AI Direct Suite with 400G Ethernet Virtual Private Line
Arelion has added a 400G Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) service to its AI Direct suite, announced in a press release. The upgrade enables enterprises, hyperscalers, and wholesale operators to interconnect AI infrastructure through high-capacity private connectivity.
The 400G EVPL service uses dynamic prioritized routing across Arelion's global backbone to maintain resilience, automatically rerouting traffic during network events. It supports high-availability connections between data centers, cloud regions, and Arelion Points of Presence while improving efficiency through Multiple Services on One Port, allowing EVPL, Cloud Connect, and IP Transit to share a single port.
Arelion's network-protected Class of Service architecture secures the transport of proprietary datasets, model updates, and application traffic for enterprise AI initiatives. The service also supports jumbo frames with a maximum transmission unit of 9400, enabling more efficient large-scale data transfers for sectors such as finance, streaming, and gaming.
The company operates a global IP backbone connecting over 2,000 customers across nearly 130 countries, providing low-latency connectivity for AI and cloud applications.
