AppliedAI and McKinsey & Company have announced a collaboration to transform regulated enterprise operations using AppliedAI’s Opus platform and McKinsey’s QuantumBlack expertise. The partnership aims to accelerate deployment of governed, auditable AI workflows across industries such as finance and manufacturing.

AppliedAI and McKinsey & Company announced in a press release a collaboration to rewire regulated enterprise operations using agentic AI. The partnership combines McKinsey’s transformation and technical expertise, including QuantumBlack, with AppliedAI’s Opus platform for agentic process execution.

The collaboration focuses on deploying governed and auditable AI workflows in regulated industries. In one project with a European chemicals manufacturer, a vendor onboarding process was reduced from two weeks to under five minutes of active processing, with over 99 percent reduction in manual effort.

Opus allows organizations to discover, build, run, and manage agentic workflows, integrating with existing enterprise systems while maintaining compliance. It includes a memory layer that captures and reuses institutional knowledge across deployments.

Under the partnership, McKinsey leads the identification and redesign of high-friction workflows, while AppliedAI provides the platform for building and operating them. The joint approach is designed to shorten the time from strategy to operational deployment from months to weeks.
