Apple Unveils iPhone 17 Lineup Without AI-Powered Siri

September 10, 2025
Apple introduced its iPhone 17 series, including the iPhone 17 Air, but did not feature an AI-powered Siri, as reported by TechCrunch.

Apple Inc. has introduced its latest iPhone 17 series, including the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and a new iPhone 17 Air, according to TechCrunch. Despite the new hardware, the anticipated AI-powered Siri was notably absent from the announcement.

The iPhone 17 Air, priced at $999, features a thinner and lighter design with a titanium body. The iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099, offering 256GB of storage, while the Pro Max remains at $1,199 with a new 2TB storage option. The devices will be available on September 19.

While the event highlighted some AI features like Visual Intelligence and camera upgrades, the most significant AI advancement was the Live Translation feature for the new AirPods Pro 3. The absence of an AI-enhanced Siri suggests that Apple may be considering third-party AI integrations to enhance its offerings in the future.
