Apple Introduces New ChatGPT Configuration Options for Enterprises

Apple Inc. is preparing to launch new software updates in September, aimed at providing enterprises with more control over artificial intelligence usage. These updates will include configuration options for an enterprise version of OpenAI's ChatGPT, allowing businesses to manage how their employees interact with AI technologies.

The new configuration options are designed to give IT administrators the ability to restrict or allow any external AI provider, not just OpenAI's technology. This flexibility enables Apple to potentially collaborate with other major AI players in the enterprise sector without needing to modify the underlying protocols.

In addition to AI configuration, Apple is introducing an API for its Apple Business Manager service, facilitating integration with other IT tools such as MDM products and inventory management services. The updates will also include new device management tools and enhancements to the Return to Service solution, which now allows devices to retain installed apps, saving time and bandwidth during device transitions.

These enterprise-focused updates will be part of Apple's broader software releases for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other devices, scheduled for rollout in September.
