Anthropic Partners With Macquarie and GIC for US Data Centers

Anthropic, Macquarie Asset Management and Singapore sovereign investor GIC have announced Theseus Infrastructure, a data center platform for Anthropic in the United States, The Next Web reports.

Theseus Infrastructure will develop, operate and lease data centers dedicated to Anthropic under long term contracts. Macquarie Asset Management funds and GIC will jointly own the platform and provide most of the equity for each project, while Anthropic will lease the capacity as the main tenant.

The partners did not disclose planned spending, site locations, capacity, or a timeline. The facilities will be tailored to Anthropic's compute needs.

Anthropic also said it would cover electricity price increases that nearby communities might face from the sites. The announcement did not name an outside auditor or regulator for that commitment.
