Akido Secures $60 Million to Expand ScopeAI in Healthcare
Akido Labs has raised $60 million in Series B funding to expand the reach of its AI healthcare system, ScopeAI, announced in a press release. The funding round was led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from Greco, SNR, and existing investors including Y Combinator and Google DeepMind's Jeff Dean.
ScopeAI is designed to integrate AI into healthcare provider visits, allowing providers to manage more patients without sacrificing care quality. The system uses AI to assist medical assistants during patient visits, generating comprehensive clinical reports and preliminary diagnoses. This approach aims to address the physician shortage by increasing clinical capacity and improving healthcare access.
With the new funding, Akido plans to accelerate the deployment of ScopeAI across its network of 240 providers in 26 specialties. The company also aims to enter new markets, such as a healthcare program in New York City targeting chronic diseases for rideshare drivers. Founded in 2015, Akido continues to leverage AI to enhance healthcare delivery and access.
