ABI Research: AI-Powered Robotics Reach Market Readiness

November 13, 2025
ABI Research reports that AI-integrated industrial and collaborative robots have reached the technological maturity required for large-scale adoption, opening new revenue opportunities in manufacturing and logistics.

ABI Research has found that artificial intelligence is now driving a new phase of robotics adoption, with AI-augmented industrial and collaborative robots ready for widespread deployment, announced in a press release. The firm's report, *The Landscape of AI in Industrial and Collaborative Robotics*, highlights that these systems now deliver measurable returns for manufacturers and logistics providers.

The study identifies technologies such as Dynamic Policy Adjustment (DPA), robotics foundation models, and reinforcement learning as key enablers of adaptive automation. These advances allow robots to perform complex and variable tasks previously unsuited to traditional automation systems.

According to ABI Research Senior Analyst George Chowdhury, the maturity of algorithms supporting adaptive behavior marks a shift toward robots capable of handling unpredictable real-world conditions. Companies leading in DPA and adaptive automation include InBolt, T-Robotics, Apera, Cambrian AI, and NVIDIA.

Growth opportunities are expected in under-automated sectors such as life sciences, semiconductor manufacturing, and logistics, where dexterous manipulation and flexibility are critical. The report also emphasizes the importance of usability and clear ROI metrics to drive commercial adoption of embodied and physical AI technologies.
