Florida Sues A2E Over AI-Generated Sexual Images of Children

Oct 30, 2026
A2E says it has cooperated with law enforcement to detect and prevent child sexual abuse material, disputing allegations in a Florida lawsuit.

A2E says it has cooperated with law enforcement to detect and prevent child sexual abuse material, according to Florida Phoenix. The statement responds to a lawsuit from Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier that accuses the AI image generator of enabling users to create sexually explicit images of children.

The complaint was filed in state Circuit Court in Sarasota County against Rengstorff Consulting, the Nevada company that owns A2E. It alleges unconscionable, deceptive and unfair practices under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

The lawsuit claims A2E lets users create nude images of people without their consent, including children, and alter images of adults to give them childlike appearances. A2E said it is consulting its legal team and has treated such material seriously since its launch.
