Zoho Acquires Asimov Robotics to Boost R&D in Robotics
Zoho Corporation has acquired Asimov Robotics, a Kerala-based startup, to expand its research and development capabilities in robotics, according to Times of India. The acquisition was announced during the inauguration of Zoho's new campus in Kottarakkara, Kerala, which will focus on AI and robotics research.
Founded in 2012, Asimov Robotics specializes in providing robotic solutions for hazardous, inefficient, and repetitive industrial tasks. Following the acquisition, Asimov's employees will continue their work from the Kottarakkara office, receiving mentorship from Zoho's team.
Zoho's new campus, with a seating capacity of 250, will serve as a hub for AI and robotics research. The company also announced a partnership with the Kerala Startup Mission to open a deeptech product studio, fostering collaborations with startups and organizations dedicated to deeptech research and development.
