Xynova Details Flex 2 and Prima 1 Robotic Hands

Xynova outlined its Flex 2 and Prima 1 dexterous robotic hands in an announcement. The Chinese robotics company said it raised RMB 1.5 billion, about $220 million, from investors including CATL, Xiaomi, JD.com, and Meituan.

Flex 2 weighs 400 grams and provides 23 degrees of freedom through a hybrid drive design. Xynova designed it for industrial and consumer uses and unveiled it at ICRA in June 2026. Prima 1 uses a direct drive design with 22 degrees of freedom for research, data collection, and algorithm training. It debuted at the World Robot Conference in Beijing in August 2026.

Xynova develops its motors, electronic controls, reducers, lead screws, and control algorithms internally. It has commissioned a manufacturing facility spanning 5,400 square meters in Hangzhou and plans to display its products at IROS 2026 in Pittsburgh.
