XAG has launched the R Series Agricultural Rover, a fully electric robot designed for specialty crop farming, offering intelligent navigation and precision spraying to reduce labor and operational costs.

XAG has introduced the R Series Agricultural Rover, a fully electric ground robot built for orchards, vineyards, and greenhouses, announced in a press release. The rover combines intelligent navigation with precision spraying to help farmers reduce labor costs and improve productivity in specialty crop farming.

The R Series includes two models. The R100 Agricultural Rover, designed for densely planted crops such as greenhouse vegetables, features a 120-liter tank, four-wheel drive, and two JetSprayers capable of delivering up to eight liters per minute. The larger R200 model, built for orchards and vineyards, includes a 240-liter tank, six-wheel drive, and four JetSprayers, offering greater reach and capacity.

Both models use XAG’s centrifugal JetSprayer technology, producing fine droplets for uniform coverage while minimizing drift and chemical use. Each rover operates efficiently between crop rows with a horizontal spray reach of up to seven meters per side, and an aluminum chassis ensures stability on uneven terrain.

The R Series is managed through the SRC 5 Smart Remote Controller, combining touchscreen navigation, dual-joystick precision, and real-time FPV monitoring. Its onboard automation system includes Cruise Mode, Path Tracking, and Repeat Mode, supported by the RealTerra mapping system for centimeter-level route planning. AI safety assistance monitors the environment in real time to ensure safe operation. The platform can also be customized for tasks like weeding and transport, expanding its use across various farming applications.
