Weilliptic Launches Codensics for AI Code Provenance and Cost Governance
Weilliptic has introduced Codensics, a platform designed to provide verifiable provenance and cost governance for AI-generated code, announced in a press release. The system records every AI-written code change, enforces spending limits, and gives executives visibility into AI usage across engineering teams.
Codensics captures AI-generated code at the diff level and anchors it on WeilChain, a verifiable infrastructure developed by Weilliptic. Each code change is tied to a commit hash and can be independently verified, ensuring tamper-proof auditability. The platform works with coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and any Git-integrated agent without requiring infrastructure modifications.
The system also introduces token governance controls. Organizations can assign monthly token allowances to developers or teams, automatically halting AI activity once limits are reached unless additional tokens are approved. This feature enables predictable spending and prevents uncontrolled consumption.
Codensics includes an attribution dashboard that records which developer, model, and project produced each code segment. For regulated industries and audit requirements, the platform provides a verifiable trail showing what AI systems produced, under what authorization, and at what cost.
