Wabi opens personal AI messenger to all users
Wabi has opened its redesigned personal AI messenger to all users, according to TechCrunch. The startup was founded by Eugenia Kuyda, the former CEO of Replika.
Wabi organizes conversations into separate threads for tasks and long term goals. Its agent can create custom apps within each thread, such as health trackers, calendars and local event guides. Connecting an email account prompts Wabi to generate initial threads and apps automatically.
Users can share threads as group chats and control which personal information is available in each conversation. Requests for personal data are visible to everyone in the chat. Wabi says its security controls have passed a SOC 2 audit, and the service is free for now.
