Volta Medical Appoints Bill Hoffman as Executive Chairman
Volta Medical has appointed Bill Hoffman as the Executive Chairman of its Board of Directors, announced in a press release. Hoffman, who previously served as CEO of Inari Medical, is recognized for leading the company to significant growth and its eventual acquisition by Stryker for $4.9 billion.
Volta Medical, a health technology company based in Marseille, France, focuses on developing AI solutions to assist electrophysiologists in cardiac ablation procedures. Hoffman's appointment comes as the company aims to expand global access to its AI-driven solutions, which have shown improved efficacy outcomes for atrial fibrillation patients.
In addition to Hoffman's appointment, Jerome Kalifa, MD, PhD, has been named Executive Vice Chairman while continuing his role as Chief Medical Officer. This leadership change follows the publication of the TAILORED-AF clinical trial in Nature Medicine, highlighting the effectiveness of Volta's AI-guided procedures.
