Veeva Systems Introduces AI to Enhance Life Sciences Applications
Veeva Systems has announced Veeva AI, a significant initiative to incorporate artificial intelligence into its Veeva Vault Platform and applications, announced in a press release. This development aims to automate industry-specific functions and enhance productivity across various sectors, including clinical, regulatory, safety, quality, medical, and commercial.
Veeva AI introduces AI Agents and AI Shortcuts, which are designed to streamline tasks and improve efficiency. AI Agents can be quickly deployed due to their understanding of the Veeva application context and secure access to application data and workflows. These agents can be customized to meet specific company needs and are accessible via a chatbot interface or an AI API.
AI Shortcuts allow users to set up personal AI-powered automations for frequent tasks, such as workflow assistance and insight generation. Veeva AI is compatible with most major large language models, offering flexibility for customers to use either a Veeva-supplied LLM or their own.
The first release of Veeva AI is scheduled for December 2025, with licensing available at the Vault level to encourage widespread adoption.
