Valency Selected by U.S. Department of Energy for Genesis Mission
Valency has been chosen to join the U.S. Department of Energy's Genesis Mission as a funded partner in the HERALD project led by senior scientists at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, announced in a press release.
HERALD uses AI agents to assist human experts in reviewing a large archive of nuclear power research. The system gives AI agents an initial pass through extensive document collections so researchers can concentrate on analysis and decision making.
Valency provides the AI agent infrastructure behind HERALD, built to handle hundreds of millions of research documents and operate with full data provenance and compliance controls. The infrastructure supports many AI agents and human reviewers working simultaneously while keeping a complete record of all decisions.
The platform also integrates the Model Context Protocol, allowing AI systems to work in a structured manner across the research archive. Each review and AI judgment is tracked through an auditable chain of custody to meet Department of Energy security and verification standards.
