Transmart Expands Magnetic Core Sales Push to North American AI Data Centers
Transmart is expanding its North American sales efforts for magnetic cores used in AI data centers and power infrastructure, the company said in a press release. Its products include nanocrystalline, amorphous and silicon steel cores for power conversion, filtering and current sensing.
The company produces nanocrystalline ribbon with a thickness of 12 to 14 micrometers. Transmart says thinner ribbon reduces eddy current losses at high frequencies, allowing transformers, inductors and filters to operate with less heat and at smaller sizes. Its nanocrystalline cut cores record losses as low as 0.4 W/kg under test conditions of 20 kHz and 50 mT.
Transmart operates two production facilities in China and serves customers in more than 50 countries, with most of its existing business in Europe. Its cores are also used in power grids, renewable energy systems, electric vehicle chargers and common mode chokes.
