The Block Launches AI Publication The Latent

The Latent combines original AI reporting with a data portal, model rankings and a free weekday newsletter.

The Block announced in a press release the public launch of The Latent, a publication focused on artificial intelligence. It launched with more than 100 articles, a data portal, model rankings and a free weekday newsletter.

The data portal contains more than 50 sourced charts covering areas including compute supply, model capabilities, pricing, usage, funding, company revenue and public markets. The Latent Score compares models across benchmarks and seven capability categories.

Each article also displays a score from Pangram indicating whether the text was written by a human. The Latent will operate as a sister publication to The Block, which will continue to focus its editorial coverage on crypto.
