Terra Drone Acquires Aloft Technologies to Expand UTM Services
Terra Drone Corporation has announced the acquisition of all remaining shares of Aloft Technologies, Inc., making it a wholly owned subsidiary, announced in a press release. This strategic move aims to bolster Terra Drone's presence in the U.S. unmanned aircraft system traffic management (UTM) market.
Aloft Technologies, a leading UTM provider in the U.S., is known for its significant market share in the FAA's Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) system. By acquiring Aloft, Terra Drone plans to enhance its customer base and accelerate the global expansion of its UTM business.
The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of December 2025, with Terra Drone utilizing internal resources to fund the transaction. This move is part of Terra Drone's broader strategy to establish a "Global UTM Group" and become a key player in the low-altitude economy.
