TECfusions and Baeza Group have announced a landmark agreement to develop Chile's largest planned data center campus in Puente Alto. In a press release, the companies revealed that the project will begin with an immediate capacity of 10 MW, with plans to scale up to 100 MW. This initiative is part of TECfusions' strategy to expand its global portfolio and address the growing demand for digital infrastructure in Latin America.
The Puente Alto facility will be built on a 40-acre site and is designed to support high-density, AI-ready deployments while adhering to strict environmental standards, including a zero-water-use approach. This development is expected to play a significant role in Chile's digital transformation, leveraging the country's robust infrastructure and renewable energy targets.
The partnership between TECfusions and Baeza Group combines TECfusions' expertise in sustainable data center development with Baeza's local knowledge. This collaboration aims to create a business model that benefits both parties and the broader community, with construction set to begin following due diligence and local permitting. The first phase of the project is expected to be operational within one year of groundbreaking.
