Suvoda Expands Sofia to All New RTSM and eCOA Trials

Oct 13, 2026
Suvoda is making its Sofia AI assistant, which can take authorized system actions with an audit trail, available for all new trials using its RTSM/IRT or eCOA products.

Suvoda is making Sofia, its AI assistant, available for all new clinical trials using Suvoda RTSM/IRT or Suvoda eCOA, the company announced. Sofia launched first with early adopter companies before this expansion. Suvoda says it gives sponsors, contract research organizations and sites faster access to trial data and the ability to act on it.

For authorized users, Sofia can execute system actions on their behalf in a single conversation. Before acting, it summarizes what it will do and asks for confirmation, and every action is attributed to the requesting user, governed by existing roles and permissions and captured in an audit trail. Dawn Sorenson, director of the IRT Center of Excellence at early adopter Daiichi Sankyo, said the platform's ability to summarize documentation and answer operational questions reduces the time spent navigating systems or pulling reports.

According to Suvoda, Sofia maps each question's intent to a validated knowledge space where subject matter experts have translated guidance into validated skills, which run against live study data within a framework that protects the study blind. Sofia supports more than 40 topics today. The company says it operates with a zero data retention policy and never uses customer data to train public models.
