SurplusGLOBAL Secures Korean Patents for AI Export Control System on SemiMarket

June 01, 2026
SurplusGLOBAL has received Korean patents for two technologies integrated into its SemiMarket platform, enabling automated export control and transaction matching for semiconductor equipment and parts.

SurplusGLOBAL announced in a press release that it has secured Korean patents for two technologies used within its global semiconductor equipment marketplace, SemiMarket. The patents cover demand and supply predictive matching and global transaction risk management systems that form part of its Export Control Program AI Agent (ECP AI Agent).

The ECP AI Agent automates export control review and transaction matching by integrating counterparty verification, risk assessment, and compliance checks into one process. This allows SemiMarket users to conduct transactions more efficiently while maintaining compliance with export control regulations from the United States, European Union, and South Korea.

SemiMarket hosts about 600,000 semiconductor equipment and parts listings. Each item includes compliance-related data such as ECCN classifications, end-user information, and destination countries. The ECP AI Agent analyzes these details to identify inconsistencies and adjust risk scores, escalating higher-risk transactions for human review.

The patented system also features a dual matching algorithm that evaluates both buyer demand and seller listings, prioritizing transactions with higher confidence and compliance alignment. SurplusGLOBAL stated that the technology is already in use for transactions involving major global semiconductor manufacturers and plans to continue enhancing its AI-based export control infrastructure.
