Speak Up for Justice Forum Highlights AI Threats to State Judges

September 24, 2025
Speak Up for Justice will host a virtual forum on September 25 to address AI-driven threats against state judges, including a deepfake video targeting Judge Jennifer Johnson.

Announced in a press release, the grassroots movement Speak Up for Justice will host a virtual national forum on September 25, focusing on the increasing threats faced by state judges due to AI-driven technologies. The event, titled "Unprotected and Under Fire: State Judges at Risk as Congress Weighs Action," will feature firsthand accounts from judges who have been targeted by death threats, swatting incidents, and violent harassment campaigns.

A significant highlight of the forum will be the unveiling of a deepfake AI video threat depicting the murder of Judge Jennifer Johnson of Florida. This video exemplifies the growing misuse of AI technologies to intimidate and undermine the judiciary. Unlike federal judges, state judges, who handle the majority of the nation's cases, lack federal security protections, making them particularly vulnerable.

The forum will also discuss the bipartisan legislative solution currently before Congress, aimed at enhancing security measures for state judges. Participants, including legal professionals and concerned citizens, are encouraged to register for the event at www.SpeakUpForJustice.law to join the movement in safeguarding judicial independence.

Speak Up for Justice is dedicated to defending the independence of the judiciary and promoting accountability, as threats against judges continue to rise nationwide.
