SONiC Expands with New Members and Showcases at Open Source Summit Europe

SONiC has welcomed seven new members, expanding its global ecosystem to 36 organizations, and is showcasing AI-driven networking innovations at the Open Source Summit Europe 2025.

SONiC Foundation has welcomed seven new members, expanding its global ecosystem to 36 organizations, announced in a press release. The new members include Aureka, iA cloud, Juniper Networks, Larch Networks, PANTHEON.tech, Sumitomo Electric Industries, and the University of Rome Tor Vergata. These organizations bring expertise in networking, cloud services, AI infrastructure, and academic research.

The announcement coincides with SONiC's participation at the Open Source Summit Europe 2025, held from August 25-27 in Amsterdam. The event features live demos and technical sessions from SONiC members, highlighting AI-driven networking and project innovation. Additionally, a SONiC Mini Summit is scheduled for August 28, offering 10 expert-led talks on topics such as SRv6, AI networking, and large-scale deployments.

The inclusion of these new members is expected to bolster SONiC's mission to deliver a robust, scalable, and open network operating system ecosystem, further enhancing its role as a leading platform for next-generation cloud and data center networking.
