Solidion Technology Unveils Battery Platform for Extreme Space Environments

June 05, 2026
Solidion Technology has introduced a patented battery platform designed for satellites, AI data centers in Low Earth Orbit, and future lunar missions. The system uses graphene to manage temperature and radiation exposure, ensuring reliable operation from minus 80 to plus 60 degrees Celsius.

Solidion Technology Inc. has introduced a patented extreme climate battery platform engineered for use in satellites, Low Earth Orbit AI data centers, crewed spacecraft, and lunar infrastructure. The company announced in a press release that its Generation Extreme Climate Battery (Gen-ECB) can function reliably in temperatures from minus 80 to plus 60 degrees Celsius.

The Gen-ECB uses graphene to enhance thermal conductivity and radiation resistance. This allows the battery to dissipate heat quickly to prevent overheating and to draw warmth from external sources such as solar panels in cold conditions. The system is being developed to handle even wider temperature ranges for deep space missions.

The company highlighted potential synergies with commercial space projects, including those by SpaceX and the NASA Artemis program. Solidion stated that the new platform supports its strategy to supply advanced power systems for the growing space and lunar economy.
